In the bastion of ideas inside the world of Christianity I am considering why the united states has morals that have deteriorated to frightening state. The strongholds of ideas centering in atheistic thought dominate the universities while well-meaning ministers, and congregates are unwilling or perhaps unable to adequately interact with differing ideas….much less defend their own.
Often times I point the finger at our parents generation which, sociologically and psychologically speaking, perpetuating the problem by their insensitivity, egoism and ineptness at conveying the gospel messaging in a profitable way to their familys and friends. But they would be too easy a target.
In this society it seems to be a multi-facetted problem where no one party is fully to blame. Today’s generational hallmark has one foot in existentialism and one in fundamentalism. I’m not quite prepared to make the leap of faith, roll the die, and placate my insatiable thirst for placing my personal beliefs in a structured category….where I am easily identified. Maybe I’m afraid of being refuted by a propositional logic that is superior, but is propositionalism my point of reference?
